Welcome, and thank you for visiting my site! I am Ms. Holly, a certified Literacy Specialist K-12. I studied psychology and elementary education at Sacred Heart University where I also received a Masters Degree in Reading along with my Literacy Specialist Certification.

Certified by Missy Brown and Deep Play for Kids, I incorporate movement, play, yoga, and regulation strategies into literacy instruction. My teachings are an integration of my experience in the classroom as a second and third grade teacher as well as a high school literacy specialist. I use my Wilson Language System training and my knowledge of The Science of Reading to develop personalized lessons for students. Whenever possible, I continue my professional learning to support all learners including students with dyslexia. When I am not teaching, I love to be with my family and friends. I enjoy going to the beach, doing yoga, and baking yummy treats!

My mission is to get back to the basics of learning, and to hold space for learners and their families whether in the traditional school setting, or for those families opting for a home learning approach. It is my hope to support students where they are in their educational journey along with who they are as a unique individual, while maximizing their potential for learning and language acquisition.
